Meet Dr. Daniel J. Pierre, DDS, MS
Endodontist Daniel J. Pierre, DDS, MS
Dr. Daniel J. Pierre is originally from Green Bay, WI. He began his dental education in 1997 at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. Following dental school, he practiced as a general dentist in Dallas, TX for three years prior to specializing in endodontics.
In 2007, Dr. Pierre completed his residency in endodontics, serving as chief resident and earning a Masters of Science degree at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). UCSF is internationally recognized for its advancement of the latest research and dental techniques. Dr. Pierre headed up a research team to study the effects of the CO2 laser on the dental pulp. His background in general dentistry combined with a Masters of Science degree from UCSF provides a balanced approach for his referring dentists. Balancing the relationship with the referring dentist and patient is key to Dr. Pierre's success as an endodontist. He now practices exclusively in his Monterey, CA office specializing in root canal treatments.
As a dedicated husband and father of two, Dr. Pierre has many interests outside of his endodontic specialty. He enjoys football, especially cheering for his hometown team, the Packers, as well as traveling internationally, golfing and snow skiing.
Dr. Pierre has the following licenses and certifications: California State Dental license and DEA Permit.
He is currently serving as Vice-President of the Monterey Bay Dental Society and has held various leadership roles in the American Association of Endodontics and the American Dental Association.
He is also a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontics, the Northern California Association of Endodontics and the Monterey Bay Dental Society. In 2010 Dr. Pierre received the Dentist of the Year Award by the Dental Affinity Program, which provides pro-bono dental services to low-income patients.
